الكل جيد يعني ذلك النهاية  بشكل جيد   
-- اذا كانت الامور جيدة في نهاية بعض الحالات ثم ينبغي أن نشعر بالرضا عن هذه النتائج (من مسرحية شكسبير في  كل شي  حسنا ، حسنا  ينتهي)
الكل جيد يعني ذلك النهاية  بشكل جيد 
وعلى الرغم من أن العاصفة كانت سيئة جدا للأطفال وصلوا الى الوطن بسلام.

كل عمل يقوم به لا يجعل جاك ولد بليد 
-- لا صحة لقضاء كل وقتك بالعمل وعدم قضاء وقت الاسترخاء أو اللعب

لجمال ليس إلا شيئا سطحيا 
-- تبدو سطحية واحيانا الشخص الجميل قد يكون له خصائص غير سارة
المرأة ليست جميلة جدا ولكن الجمال ليس إلا شيئا سطحيا وشخصيتها رائعة.

- you have two choices or alternatives and both of them are unpleasant
We are between the devil and the deep blue sea. If we increase our prices we won't sell our products but if we keep the same prices we will lose money.

بين الشيطان والبحر الأزرق العميق
-- لديك خيارين أو بدائل ، وكلاهما غير سارة
ونحن بين الشيطان والبحر الأزرق العميق. إذا كان لنا أن زيادة الأسعار لدينا اننا لن نبيع منتجاتنا ولكن إذا ما واصلنا على نفس الأسعار سوف نخسر المال.
