The Dark Room
I entered that room looking around
All was dark, and not a single sound
Save for little voices here and there
I kept hearing not knowing from where
It was all new and different from outside
Like a narrow road compared to a wide
On the left was a window, small, old and stiffen,
You can't look through it but be fear stricken
In the corner I recognized a man with pale and still face,
Staring with despairful eyes into the vacant space
After a long silence and moments of reluctance
I asked the man " Sir, what is this fearful place?
And where shall I go this instance?"
" It is where we all at times enter by will or force.",
This was his cold answer and his only discourse.
I did not get his words so I turned right,
And saw a thing that was not before in the sight;
A small candle with a large bright flame
That made the room's features look not the same,
They looked more familiar and gave a feeling for which I know no name.
That man was terrified to see it though,
And hid his eyes with both hands
But suddenly a breeze blew from the window
And that large bright flame was gone,
The room went again to black
The man gave a sigh and to staring he was back
So I just headed to the door, and went out by the same track
On the door this was written
" In the space of sadness, a thin ray appeared only to disappear"
