Hi SILVER
SILVER..O SILVER….do you remember what you once said when we discussed about (endless road):
(I'm the writer of this poem, and I'm realy seeking to know

What is going on inside the reader mind when he or she

reads my poems.

Then, both me and you will save our own Interpretations in our Minds.)

So ..as you really seeking to know what is going on in the reader's mind also I'm really really seeking to know  what is going on in the poet's mind
SO…if you want to see my understanding you have to show me first how do you interpret such a poem …THIS IS MY CONDITION..do you accept it??!!..
BY THE WAY THIS IS NOT A LECTURE IT'S JUST AS I THINK AN OPEN DISCCUSION
I'm waiting for your reply..

THANKS ALOT SILVER

Hello Guys
what is it with you people? It is getting really interesting
I feel like I am watching a Mexican series

safaa
I want to clarify something concerning what you said

اقتباس
when we study poetry (Arabic or English) we're given data and references that enable us to get the full and exact meaning ..because we can't interpret the poem

I am sorry to say you are wrong about this
because no poet in the whole world would write the meaning or the footnotes beneath his poem, and in case students desired to study it they will get the explanation from their teachers or from critics , but never from the poet himself
in rare cases the poet will write his footnotes when he wants to clarify certain images he borrowed from specific sources
in this case "Day Machine", it is very simple in the words and the images but a bit complicated because of the way SILVER arranges these words and images which by the way makes the poem more beautiful and more challenging
accept my regards

Now SILVER
I just want to congratulate you for this success
you are already receiving criticism
and this is what always happens to successful works

اقتباس
Thirteenth: do you know that smoke kills body cells?

hhhhhhhhhh
and what is going on with you here
accept my rgards

now cheer up both
I have made your mexican series longer

You just walked out of one of my dreams
So beautiful, you're leaving me breathless

And if our love was a story book
We would meet on the very first page
The last chapter would be about
How I'm thankful for the life we've made

.. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

  بحبك يا شـــام

Hi Judy….
I'm happy that you joined our discussion ..that will enrich it and make it more beautiful
Judy ..Iwant to say something: you were right when you said
(no poet in the whole world would write the meaning or the footnotes beneath his poem, and in case students desired to study it they will get the explanation from their teachers or from critics , but never from the poet himself) BUT:
where the teachers and critics get the explanation from??!!
Maybe the critics get the interpretation from previous critics and the previous from previous until we reach to the poet himself who was surrounded by some circumstances and events that made him write…
And since we have our poet with our hands and between us why don't we try to approach his writing and know about them from his own point of view , and not to wait to have the meaning from critics whom their interpretation maybe right or wrong??!!
I hope that SILVER(our poet) will tell us what he exactly hide between his words…
Thanks a lot Judy and I'm waiting your reply..

اقتباس
where the teachers and critics get the explanation from??!!

Safaa
Hello again
answering your  question
these teachers and the critics , especially the critics
are supposed to analyse the poem depending on their analytic skills first
second from studying the poet's life and see how that relates to the poem
or else how would they be called critics

and again i assure you that you can not oblige a poet to say the interpretation he means
from his poem, and I think no poet or writer would like to say the explanation himself
and the poet who will do such a thing , it is as if he is treating his readers as stupids
(forgive me for using this word)

اقتباس
And since we have our poet with our hands and between us why don't we try to approach his writing

yes here I agree with you only if it is ok for Silver
if it is not, he is free and we have to depend on ourselves

and finally, it was a pleasure to have a discussion with you dear safaa

Silver
I am really sad for you
look how much you have to read

accept my regards

You just walked out of one of my dreams
So beautiful, you're leaving me breathless

And if our love was a story book
We would meet on the very first page

How I'm thankful for the life we've made

Good evening Ms Safaa

Good evening Ms Judy

Since I've done from what was in mind,

here will be My replays in A Chronological Order:

For Ms Safaa:

اقتباس
SILVER Do you remember what you once said when we discussed
About 'Endless Road'
(I'm the writer of this poem, and I'm really seeking to know
what is going on inside the reader mind when he or she reads my poems.
Then, both I and you will save our own Interpretations in our Minds
.)

Yeah this is absolutely right, and I'm still holding my tongue,

But Until now I did not see what is going on inside your mind.

In more simple words, you didn't put your interpretation,

This mean that I'm not obliged to interpret any single word for you.

اقتباس
If you want to see my understanding you have to show me first how you interpret such a poem …THIS IS MY CONDITION. Do you accept it
?

I'm sorry dear because we are not dealing with a guessing game.

It's up to you whether you interpret it or not, there are no conditions.

First best wishes

Now Ms Judy's Turn.

From Judy to Safa:

اقتباس
no poet in the whole world would write the meaning or the footnotes beneath his poem

Exactly, Nothing to be added.

اقتباس
in rare cases the poet will write his footnotes when he wants to clarify certain images he borrowed from specific sources

100 percent right.

اقتباس
in this case "Day Machine", it is very simple in the words and the images but a bit complicated because of the way SILVER arranges these words and images which by the way makes the poem more beautiful and more challenging

For Me, I really Appreciate Smart people.

Judy, Your words are fully enough, and indeed there is nothing

To be added Upon them.

Thank you

bAcK To Safaa.

اقتباس
BUT: where the teachers and critics get the explanation from

As Judy's mentioned before, They'll get this

Interpretations From their own knowledge, and their skillful brain,

depending On the idea of identification with the closet meaning.

اقتباس
And since we have our poet with our hands and between us why don't we try to approach his writing and know about them from his own point of view

I'm really wondering about why shall I put the interpretation

Instead of putting the poem in itself?

Safaa let me repeat Shortly the idea here,

I or you or anyone else will put a poem, then we will mention

What we've got from it, in result the writer will explain some

Occult points.

This is in the opposite from your words; you can not ask me to

Put my own interpretation since you did not mention anything.

Second best wishes

good evening :
first of all I want you Silver to say what do you want to say not what others inspire you
you should know that i'm not obliging you to explain i thought that we're here in this forum to get benefit from each other
if you don't want to give hints it's up to you and of course you have the right
anyway amd briefly I'll tell you what i get from this poem but in my special way:

thanks alot Silver for giving me such a chance for discussion
All MY salutation to YOU

Judy here we go

اقتباس
yes here I agree with you only if it is ok for Silver
if it is not, he is free and we have to depend on ourselves

Of course I do not mind, and you know this.

Dears, Judy, and Safaa:

If there is any point that need to be explained more,

I'm ready to do it with all delight.

Finally I want to thank you both, for making this topic

A battlefield for completely different points of view.

The last Best wishes
