You Saved My Soul
Lovely is your singing which scents our souls
With dulcet nice twitter, that never ever falls
Soft are those mellows that always fill the space
Glory to My God, bestowed you a grace;
A tender tiny heart, He granted you
O Nightingale, with pretty comely view
To you I gaze, then I say
Alike we are, but different we stay:
To sing you live, to soar to chant
To flutter, to fly, without any slant
To strive I live, to stand I suffer
With this hollow life, that deceives for ever
Then you and me will die, and end at death
But different we will be under that earth
Memory you stay, or sweet tune
That echoes in the space, with every serene noon
But poor I'll go into that grave
For no one tends to me, no one can save
Alone in that tomb I will stay
Supplicating to my God, I will say:
Bestow me your mercy, O my Lord
Grant me your pardon, forgiveness and hold
Then safe I can be in that hole
Praise to you my Lord, you saved my soul…
